Paladin Security's Special Services Unit (SSU) provides high quality, customized security services for clients with unique and demanding security requirements. Headed by a former Israeli police officer and assisted by a former RCMP tactical unit commander, the SSU is a small, specially trained group of officers that provides security for high profile special events where exceptional security skills are required.
The unit trains regularly to ensure they are up to date with the latest in event and VIP security techniques. In the past couple of years, the unit has provided service for such events as the 2005 Grey Cup, the Royal Visit of HRM Queen Elizabeth II in Edmonton, the Heritage Classic outdoor hockey event at Commonwealth Stadium, the Premier of British Columbia’s election campaign in the spring of 2005, campaign events for the Leader of the Opposition Stephen Harper and the annual retreat of the BC government caucus.
