Paladin understands that a shopping mall is more than businesses and a building; it’s the social hub of the community. A security officer is often the guest’s first contact and needs to embody the culture and provide exceptional customer service.

We provide our officers with interpersonal and communications training to give them the public relations skills necessary to excel in their roles. And our strategy integrates customer service with security: we position security officers near directories, for example, and have them escort guests to their destination while performing a patrol.

But while officers often spend a significant amount of time on guest relations, security is paramount, and the officer needs to be able to handle an emergency, theft or lost child situation with utmost expertise and care. That’s why we always start with a customized, overall security strategy for the property, and also back our officers with on-site management which ensures an immediate, 24-hour response in the event of an emergency. That’s unique to Paladin.
